I think the last known exploit was patched by google with 4.0.2. The 2 easiest methods of rooting are adb root by booting an insecure boot image and pushing the files or by flashing/booting custom recovery and flashing a root zip file. Both methods are included in the Toolkit.

Happy to help you test if you are still needing help. Mine is still fresh out of the box a few hours ago.

Do you know how to install the adb/fastboot drivers manually via the device manager on your pc? I need to know the driver ids so I can enter them in the toolkit. I have the driver pack from 1wayjonny but dont have the device and dont know which ids to add.

Is this what you need or would it be something else?

Thanks for confirming, I have OCD and would to separate this in my driver as well. had it as generic and it works perfect but would like to change the name that is reported to Windows.

Thank you mskip! Been looking for a toolkit like this thats supported by Windows for 3 days now. Was just about the try the Linux toolkit but im not familiar with linux. Will be gladly awaiting the release of this toolkit. Is it still expected to be released tonight? Would really like to get my N10 unlocked and rooted as soon as possible, but don't really want to use the manual way. I love your toolkits, been using them for my S3 and N7.

Ahhhhhhh.. I was crossing every extremity hoping that you'd be putting out an N10 toolkit mskip, but didn't want to harass you and ask in case it delayed it

Cheers!

Finishing off this morning and adding custom recovery choice to the root routines. As soon as its ready I will send a message here to see if anyone can give it a test so if someone is available in about 2 hours that will be great. Sorry it wasnt finished last night I think I fell asleep at the desk while sorting the driver installer out lol.
