Right behind you!
Speaking of usb debugging, what drivers do you guys use for adb? I'm working on a port and I cannot get my device to show up in adb for the life of me.

I have had best luck just removing drivers and then let Windows Update find them. Make sure USB debugging is checked and use the ports directly on a motherboard (in the rear of a desktop) or remember which port you used on a laptop to load the drivers.

Hmm ok, I installed the official drivers but that didn't work too well. Naked drivers were better but my device still wouldn't show up as it booted.

Anyone here willing to try and get me a logcat as the port boots? Would be much appreciated.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but samsung switched the default USB connection from MTP to Camera, when you plug it in pull down the dropdown click on USB connection and switch it to MTP.

The port gets stuck at the "Samsung Galaxy S III" screen at the moment, so I don't yet have that option

I was able to get a logcat exactly once....I think, I fixed the issue and I rezipped but now adb won't show my device at all

I just noticed today something strange. When you plug in a thumb drive via a USB-OTG cable, the phone now sees it as a keyboard/mouse. I think this is related to MD4 as it used to (MB1) see it as a drive. It still works as it should though.

Yes that is directly related to what I posted two post right before yours.

Possible to install this rom without any theme customizations? Or a way to revert back to stock theme without having to install something like morphology?

No. There are some files in post 2 to remove spidey dropdown and spidey themed multiview. There is a stock deodexed rooted ROM by Freeza if you want stock.

I have never had any problems with TPR on any phone except one last update 3.16 wouldn't install, but that was a bad download by the phone NOT the Rom
every time I go to update I wipe cache, delvik cache then install, and I have NEVER had a problem, Only problem i have with 3.17 is deciding which font I want to use with ths great rom

There was a big enough change to warrant the recommendation. The dev himself loves the dirty but had to clean this one. Just saying the people have been informed and should adhere to the recommendations. Not looking for the "well I didn't clean and it works fine" it actually isn't helping us with driving the point home that we HIGHLY RECOMMEND to clean. If ANYONE dirty and it works great please keep it to yourself not trying to get into a pissing match over this. Everyone has been warned the first question we are going to ask is dirty or clean and depending on answer the level of help you will get.

Just my 2 cents...

It pays to do the MD5 checksum verification once you download to ensure all is kosher. I had 3 instances of bad or incomplete downloads with 3.17, ALL relating to the connection (thanks, crappy hotel wi-fi)

Doing the MD5 check takes no time and is worth doing.

If they don't post issues even from a dirty install, what will we talk about? Football? Too soon! Skinny Jeans? Too old! USB Debugging? Too Bunny!
+1.....but then again if users are like me, who flashes stable roms only, then this thread will suffer "premature" extinction.;)
I've dirty flashed from 3.15 to 3.16 to 3.17 with no issues. The only update that gave me some issues was when I dirty flashed 3.16A. What was in it anyway:confused:

Look, it is OK to just wipe caches and flash dirty BUT you may get unexpected issues from incompatible data. Then you need to back up and flash clean which is a factory data reset or wipe to get rid of everything in the data partition to verify if your issue is ROM caused or data caused. The only way to be really clean (but not needed) is to format /system and /data before flashing. People that flash dirty and are happy..cool! You know we are just looking out for The People and want to maintain the reputation of the most stable ROM out there.

Does the Spring connection optimizer do anything bad to the battery or Rom? We FINALLY have 4g in most areas here and I use it to manage the connections, not that I actually need it, but its a plus I guess.

    TEAM BRING IT PROUDLY PRESENTS

    THE PEOPLE'S ROM GS3.X

If you like slimmed down, debloated ROMs....DO NOT FLASH THIS ROM!

AND A BIG THANKS TO ROMPNIT FOR ALWAYS SQUASHING BUGS BEFORE THE PEOPLE GET THEM

I have noticed too many issues on those ROMs removing too many files, then there are users that want this app or that app. I believe in getting everything I paid for from Samsung and Sprint and The People's ROM has always stood for stability balanced with performance and battery life.
I will happily help anyone remove any apps they don't want as I am sure will The People. Also The People's ROM has always been about The People: Users helping users, RCs and RTs joining in to offer choices and aid to all without any flaming. We politely remind those to search and answer the question at the same time. Please respect all members.

I am by no means a Developer. The true developers have provided the code for all the mods included in this ROM. I just put together my own personal ROM with lots of help (see thanks section) and want to share it with all my friends here on XDA.

    TPR GS3.31 (MK3 - 4.3)
DOWNLOAD: http://d-h.st/bQi (Dev-host click the small download button in lower center)

Big thanks to Rompnit, Cnexus, Dazednconfused, Thunderstick, Crawj for helping get this 4.3 basic upgrade out and all the people thanked below as well!!!!

    Hotspot toggle
    Flashlight toggle
    Gear watch compatible
    Stops ND8 Nag
Adds Wicked ROM Control (Thanks @dazednconfused)
    Clock control
    Network Transfer speed indicator control
    Xposed installer

    Status bar icon control

    MIRROR: Thanks @tazfanatic

YOU MUST NOT FORMAT OR WIPE SYSTEM!!! Wipe data only (you can try dirty flashing at your own risk)
(Clean flash sometimes needs a second boot or maybe it was just my phone)
If you get stuck at the logo, try flashing a TW ROM first like the 4.3 stock deodexed or TPR 3.17 below.

I apologize that I cannot support this like I have in the past...but The People are here to support each other. If good flashable mods are contributed I will post them in the posts below. Thank you to all The People for contributing to the best ROM and thread on the GS3!!!

Known issues: 64GB sd cards need to be formatted to FAT32 to work on Ktoonsez kernel or Agat's kernel. Choose the stock kernel option!
Thanks to Y.G. for testing that on Agat's kernel.
Upon boot, the status bar may be missing. Just pull it down like normal and it will stay.
No charge animation or LED on Ktoonsez or Agat's kernel when phone is off on some phones
Phone will not reboot with headphones plugged in on Ktoonsez kernel on some phones
DO NOT choose no kernel option in the installer if on Ktoonsez kernel as it will delete the ktweaker app and you will need to reflash the kernel to get it back. Thank you Stylez for finding this.
Ink effect not working on MD4 yet

Tip: Install Media Scan Root from Play and disable media scanner to prevent MEDIA bug from draining battery upon boot. (Thanks Team Kernelizer) (May not be needed with Rompnit's addition of the CM team fix)

    Re: [ROM] [MB1][TW]The People's ROM GS3.13 - 3 KERNEL choices! 3/3/13

Hey everyone, I know a lot of you were concerned about my wife and her condition after the accident... she was doing well for a bit and then lost complete use of her legs, so we decided to go to Florida to see a specialist (and see family, just in case) well, as some of you already know, two days into being with the specialist, she regained control of her lower extremities and took her first steps since the accidentwith the help of a walker. Well today, she took a HUGE leap in her recovery and took TEN steps with no help from anybody or anything! Amazing! The doctor still doesn't know what caused her to lose all control of the lower portion of her body, but at this point, I'm not even sure it matters. She is doing great! Thanks everyone for all of your support, you have no idea how much it means to me and how much you helped me through this very difficult situation for our family! Thanks everyone, love y'all to death, I really do mean that! (No homo, lol)
