Just happened to me. Phone was never dropped but seemed to crack from temperature change. thankfully my friend is the rep that sold me the phone. She offered to swap it out at no cost. I will definitely keep the next phone in a cover.

I swapped my OG for a One X+ and I'm not really liking it. I'm considering going back to the OG but afraid I'd have to deal with the cracked back glass again... decisions decisions...

mine (ATT) just cracked after slipping underneath car seat and hitting something metal
found the replacement door and housing for $36 on ebay

lesson here: buy the cover and WAIT FOR IT TO ARRIVE before starting to use any phone with glass all around. mine is still in the mail, somewhere...

ebay item: 150951735574

Anyone else find it odd how the glass back under sudden temp change was affected yet the front LCD glass was not?
- suggestion: get an Incipio feather case (no bulk) for it.

What conditions was used while carrying it during the sudden temp change? where you in a sauna and then outside to negative 15 celcius suddenly or something?!

Why don't y'all just get an invisible back protector?

Not odd at all... The front is gorilla glass, the back is not.

I was in my house where temperature is set to 68 degrees. Phone was charging on wooden night stand. I wouldn't recommend bringing your phone into a sauna with you, ever.

I was able to replace my phone for a new one. I'm now using a Telus branded bumper style case.
