You can use Nexus Root Toolkit for installing TWRP

OP, if you are going to moderate a thread, perhaps you should stress that users will NEED tilapia recovery to flash a tilapia rom. That is almost certainly the problem, since flashing a mismatched rom/recovery results in status 7. Many of the guides still recommend using grouper recovery, which is not a good idea.

I'm using TWRP 2.3.2.1 and I've received the error message twice.

Ok brought the gallery apk from the Nexus 4 and replaced the one in the /system/app on my Nexus 7, now the photos are synced fine. hopefully it shall be addressed in future nightlies

Photos sync fine, try changing your gapps package.

I installed the correct tilapia recovery

flashed cyano, flashed gapps

i'm now stuck at CyanogenMod logo...

what to do ?
