I have had the best results in stock kernel. Clean rom 5.5.1. Wi-Fi only though.

Faux ftw. Smooth and battery life is nice. I recommend intellidemand (believe that's right) for governor.

Where do you just the Faux kernel stand-a-alone?

Whats up guys.

I tried stock, lk1.0/1.1, kt kernel, faux ultimate v14 and now the faux v15 beta 3 on Clean rom 5.51 and galaxy mod versions 9/10/11. These are cliff notes on my kernel experiences.

Stock was extremely stable, battery was good and rom seemed quite responsive and fast.

Lk kernels gave me the quickest response through screens and the fastest benchmarks. Traditionally lk gives me great battery life but i have not experienced that with touchwiz roms.
While lean kernel is the fastest it offered me the Least battery of all the roms.
+1 to fast charge.

KT WAS faster than stock, battery was slightly better. Probably because you can set the off screen profile to 96mhz. The idle drain was terrific with this kernel. However i had sods and random lag. Nobody should have lag on this device.

Faux kernel... Ultimate worked great for me. Others had issues... Fc's, sods, etc..
I actually ran this with galaxy mod and loved the combination of speed and battery life. Fauxs kernels have deep slept like nothing else for me. I have been using beta 3 for the last 2 days.

NO LAGS.... NO FC'S... NO SODS... IMMEDIATELY NOTICE INCREASE IN BATTERY LIFE. MY FIRST CHARGE CYCLE WAS BETTER THAN LK 1.1 THIRD CHARGE CYCLE.
I AM USING FAUXS APP TO VOLTAGE CONTROL AND HAVE MY GOV SETTINGS ON INTELLIDEMAND. 1. 62MAX. 384 MIN.
RUNNING FANTASTIC!!!

Clean ROM 5.5.1 stock power save mode on, brightness set to 25%. Moderate use.


Only complaint would be some stutter/lag with power save on. When unlocking or opening apps. Once it's running its fine. Think this is due to the power save mode settings.
Had good luck with Faux's kernel, and I'm trying KT's now (uc 192 / oc 1728) with undervolt from the OP.

Can't compare battery life since the area I did the stock had generally good 4g/3g signal with wifi at home. Area I'm currently at has no wifi and sporadic 3g/1x

I'm running Jelly 'Beans' rom with the lean kernel and so far I'm experiencing much better battery life than stock.
