HTC probably uses some different display/panel in different batches of one xl's. I got mine on launch day and it works fine.

Could you get me a dmesg on a 4.1.2 ROM immediately after a reboot?
  • adb shell
  • su
  • dmesg > /sdcard/dmesg.txt
  • PM me the dmesg.

Might be some clues in there...

How is the battery life on this so far? I know CM is always good but not usually as good as a sense ROM.

Thanks for your work h8. Merry Christmas.

I just did a complete wipe (even wiped the sdcard), installed cm10.1, and the 4.2.1 gapps (I redownloaded both). Same issue.
I can't get a full logcat (menu/recent apps button does not work, and I'm using the CatLog app, can't figure out how to download the logcat to sd card) so here's the important bits, typed by hand:

FATAL EXCEPTION: MicrophoneReader
android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: File res/raw/open.wav from drawable resource ID #0x7f080009
...
Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: This file can not be opened as a file descriptor; it is probably compressed

that all came from the same stack trace (there is only 1 stack trace anyways).

EDIT: Here is the stacktrace from the logcat + some surrounding text

Battery life is great, sense may be better. With that said, I'd sacrifice a bit of battery for this speed. I've been using aosp android since cm6 (android 2.2) and sense (android 2.1) and man, I thought those were fast then, lol, well jellybean flies.

Anyone else that can't boot on rev b or rev a?

Set long press home for menu until it's fixed. Setting long press for home works for menu

My blazingly fast as f*#k One XL fueled with CM10
