this is exactly why i said, one should not look at youtube HD as a benchmark to how the tab is operating. hitting a menu item and waiting 3 seconds, that's an issue or swiping and waiting for it to do something, that's an issue. looking at youtube hd and it pausing for a second or two, that's pretty much always happened (depending on the content and/or network speed (less so)). usually just micro stutters tho.
Crazy. Another good reason not to use windows...

I accept your explanation, but I guess I will never understand it. Something like this should never happen. Because this means I could just connect the device once to a manipulated PC to make it unusable.

Normally I would totally agree with you. I never care about youtube performance issues. But this time the reason was the high cpu load and not network or content. I've seen the log files. Hopefully this is fixed now.

In that particular instance, one may see it more readily via that specific app, but when the app experience is already sub par to an extent, its hard to make judgments based solely on that.

Not the app's fault by any means, just more work to accomplish to try and keep the legacy tab operating decently (where one day I dream of finishing up and moving on to bigger/greener and more modern pastures, hehe).

i too was facing issue with USB driver all i did was (windows 7 32-bit):
- uninstalled kies & samsung usb driver
- reboot the pc
- installed samsung usb driver from xda thread
- reboot pc
after that so far i did not face issue related to MTP connectivity for SGS2 or GTab P7500.
may be some kies services causing these issues (not sure), give it a try.
note: i am on 18/02/2013 nightly

Sorry for this noob question, but how can I activate MTP on CM 10.1 18 febr nightly?

I also have problems when I went from 13 febr nightly to 4.2.2 with youtube and performance.
So I just need to activate USB debug, MTP and reinstall the correct drivers and then go from 18 febr nightly to 21?

Btw Thanks pershoot for the awesome work !

MTP is activated by default. You need to fix your drivers on your PC if it is not working and the tab is going nuts when plugged in.

Use the 21st build.

Latest cm nightly is very smooth with a1 kernel. The last nightly I had tried, about 3 weeks ago was super laggy.
Any chance of working photosphere in the future . in cm , photosphere crashes after aligning and in stock ICS, it crashes after taking 3-4 pics.
