Download rom zip file from cm website then connect tablet with USB and transfer file by mtp. Just ignore the gui error when you boot the tablet it should still connect. Then you can boot into recovery. That's what I did to go back

when you go to the file browser in CWM, it automatically mounts /data and links /sdcard to /data/media .

Boot into recovery and then, on your PC, do:

adb shell mount /data

The sdcard should be /data/media/0
Now push the cm zip to your device:

adb push cm-xxxx.zip /data/media/0/cm-xxxx.zip

Flash zip

watch this: github.com/cyanogenmod/android_device_samsung_p4-common

when you see a new change in there, it will be the fix and you will know the next build built after that time will have it in there and be working.

This may not be news to all the experts out there but I just discovered a way to settle down a new ROM that misbehaves. After upgrading to a recent nightly, my Tab would constantly restart for no apparent reason. I was on vacation and reading an ebook. Every few minutes the device would restart. It was not exactly what I was hoping for while sitting on the beach in St. Thomas.

My solution was to clear all the cache options. After doing that, the device has worked without an issue.

Is this an proceedure that we should always do after installing a nightly or did I just get lucky?

Edit:

Pershoot, are the nightly builds suffering from a wifi issue? My tabs battery life is about 24h now and if i check it the wifi is on 100% of the time. Known issue? I don't have any app reported alive otherwise...

Thanks man, i did some testing and got it now set up like i wanted it.

For future reference what i did to get gallery with picasa to work (i don't care about video recording or photosphere etc with my tab)

Renamed gallery2.apk in /app/ to gallery2.bak
Reboot
Took from gapps-unified-jb-20130220-signed.zip the following apk:
GalleryGoogle.apk from \optional\photosphere\app in the zip, installed it
Reboot
Tab asked for permission for the gallery. Allow google to sync picasa
now it works fine.

Well yes and no, after flashing it is always a good idea to clear the cache. Also from time to time.
Keep in mind, a nightly is a nightly and strange behavior like random reboots can occur. If you're hoping for a stable version nightlies might not be the first choice for you.
Anyway, clearing cache should always be one of the first things to do if you are running into an issue.
