[APP][31DEC] SPenBoard Switcher ★Switching keyboards depending on the S-Pen position★
Happy New Year!
A brief description of the application's capabilities and features:
Quote:
Have you ever wanted to use a certain keyboard for normal use, and a different one for the S-Pen! This will ease your life.
- When the service is running, the pen's position is detected and the keyboard is switched to the learned or pre-defined one (depending on the mode).
- The service runs quietly and efficiently. No popups, no interventions.
- Support for starting on boot
- Service supports two modes:
Learning mode: Tries to detect the keyboard you use in each pen position, stores the detected keyboard, and uses it the next time you take your pen off, or return it to its place.
Fixed Mode: The service only uses the keyboards you chose inside the application, even if you use another keyboard for a short time, when the pen's position, the keyboard is reverted back to the ones you chose.
Installation and Usage:
Quote:
Download the Application's ZIP.
Move it to your SDCard.
Reboot to your recovery, doesn't matter if it's CWM or TWRP.
Flash the ZIP, and reboot. (For advanced users, you can move the application's APK to /system/app)
Go to your app drawer and open the application.
Choose your preferences and start the service.

Here's a screenshot for the people who will die if they don't see one ;P
Note: flashing the zip file is only tested on the international version of the note 2, I'm not sure if the blocks which have to be mounted are the same on the variants, but to stay on the safe side, here's what you have to do if you have a device different than the N7100:
Download the ZIP, open it, and extract the APK from /system/app, then use a Root Capable file manager or ADB to push it to the /system/app inside your phone.
Compatibility:
Quote:
The application is confirmed to be compatible with the following devices:
The application should be compatible with any device that can detect the position of the pen. If you're using this application on a device different than the ones listed here, please inform me so that I can add your device.

I don't think I missed anyone, but if I did, please tell me!
Now that this is here, my comment will not be deleted because I'm not a developer.
Is it possible to do the same when multiwindow is active? The Samsung keyboard is the only one that floats, and all others are terrible in multiwindow since they block so much screen. Thanks.

Hello! Excellent mod I believe one of our awesome news writers will be writing about it.
I'll do my part though, confirmed working on the T-Mobile Galaxy Note II. I extracted and pushed APK to /system/app, didn't try flashing it...but the app works!
