Way to address notification spamming on startup?

So, I don't leave my transformer infinity on all the time and when I start it up I get spammed with old notifications from when the tablet was off. This really makes me mad. I need to know if there's a way to limit notifications to sound off only for notifications that come in while its on and ignore the rest.

I don't believe there is a way to stop them from popping up.
All I've ever heard of is unchecking notification for the app individually under settings\apps\all...of course then you'll never see a notification.

If you find an app or and edit for this post back.
I'd like to know also.
