Prompt Kindle Fire First Aide Feature Request - Wallpaper

Krsmqn,

The Wallpaper function will have the features of that application and many more! The fun part is since this is starting

from Beta up, all your input molds the application into a beautiful solution that I would have never been able to do on

my own. Keep up the Brainstorm.

If I've suddenly acquired telepathy, I may give the KFHD a break while I look up a poker game. And buy a lottery ticket on the way.

I was under the impression that the 8.9 could be fast boot written with the standard cable. If this isn't the case I'll definitely buy a cable.

gunnyman,

Another great question. The Kindle Fire HD 8.9" does not need a Factory USB Cable, you would use Option 10 inside

our software to boot the Kindle Fire HD 8.9" into Fastboot Mode. Option 10 is now active for Kindle Fire 8.9" Users!

I believe SkOrPn says here that his cables will not work for the 8.9"...? I thought I read somewhere that the 8.9" has another way to enter fastboot without a factory cable.

BELASCO,

Do you ever sleep BELASCO! I had to turn in last night, I was really tired. We were working on the software and it

takes up a lot of brain power, after 12 hours of code writing in C#, I just about collapsed. Yes, future versions

will have a nice GUI (Graphical User Interface), probably not in Production Version 4.2.3, we will release the GUI

in 4.2.4.

Krsmqn,

Thank you. I am just tired today. I know this and dhaaaaa, forgot. We have Option 10 in the software for

the 8.9", I just forgot. Too much code writing! We now Option 10 functional, please download the update.

I agree, that was my impression as well. In fact, I tell people that my cable will NOT work for the 8.9" device all together.

Is this still true today? Curious minds need to know, lol...

SkOrPn,

You are absolutely correct again! The Kindle Fire HD 8.9" Does NOT require the SkOrPn Factory USB Cable. We

have integrated this function into the latest release of the software. Kindle Fire HD 8.9" Users would:

1. Launch the Kindle Fire First Aide by launching RunMe
2. Unplug the Kindle Fire 8.9" from USB and Power Down the Kindle
3. Choose Option 10, Enter and then Answer y (for Yes it is Powered Off)
4. Next you press Enter and when you see <waiting for device> you Plug the Kindle HD 8.9" Into USB
5. The Kindle Fire HD 8.9" will now boot into Fastboot Mode

gunnyman,

I am sorry for the confusion this morning. We have updated the software and the instructions for full Kindle Fire 8.9"

Support. If you download a copy this morning, please download the latest version. All you need to replace is the

RunMe.bat file, we modified the code for Option 10.
