Unless you happen to have a copy of the boot ani that you could provide... that would probably save some time.

Default First boot animation

[QUOTE=djsnake210;36881729]Hi All!

Well I have finally created my first boot animation for the Droid DNA! Hopefully it's the first of many. Feel free to provide feedback and make suggestions.

NOTES:
- I have tested this on Hatka DNA 2.6.0 and Viper 1.0.1. Most Sense based ROMs should act the same.
- I know the file size is a little larger than normal 80mb vs 12mb) on the Drift animation, but i kept the quality high, and it is video rather than animated graphic. I'm going to work on getting file sizes smaller on future animations.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Copy to your device
- Use a root explorer (I use ES File Manager) to navigate to /system/customize/resource/
- Rename the current boot animation file by changing the file extension from .zip to .bak or .old
** HATKA DNA: boot animation file is vzw_bootup.zip
** VIPER ROM: boot animation file is bootanimation.zip
- Copy/paste the downloaded boot animation file into the /system/customize/resource/ folder
- Open the File properties and make sure Group and Other have Read permissions (rw- r-- r--)
- Reboot and enjoy

DRIFT (Added 1/20)

WORLD WAR Z (Added 1/22)

MARIO POV (Added (1/23)

Roller Coaster (Added (1/24)

DNA w/Quotes (Added (1/25)

Cam this mess up your Device? Does it void warranty if you replace existing default screen? Can it be convereted back to original form if necessary?

You've already voided your warranty and no this won't mess your phone up...I couldnt see any way except Mayne a bootloop but that's unlikely

Here are some answers:
1. Your warranty was void when the bootloader was unlocked (btw this requires root)
2. You can't mess up your device to the point of no return.
3. Yes it can be converted back....

For example
If you're running Hatka then the current boot animation is /system/customize/resource/vzwbootup.zip. Step 3 tells you to rename that file, so you would rename it vzwbootup (old).zip, or vzwbootup.old... basically anything that you will remember you changed it to.

Now if you want to change it back you would just delete the custom boot animation and rename your old file back back to vzwbootup.zip.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I added a port of the Nexus 7 Jelly Bean animation per a request by user djnikko in a different thread. I just found an existing youtube vid of it and used that as the Preview.

Let me know what y'all think.

I just added a port of Call of Android to the OP.... this is probably my favorite boot animation of all time. I ran it on my Thunderbolt forever... and now I get to run it on my DNA (and so can you).

Good stuff....
