Guys, make sure you're using the stock kernel listed in the OP. It's apparently different than some of the other "stock" or "reset" kernels that are floating around. I was using one of those previously and got the status 7 when trying to flash the update in CWM. Installed fine with the stock kernel from OP.

I've flashed from Matrix kernel back to stock, Am still rooted using TWRP 2.3.3.2 to flash.
