Do I have to flash the modem?

I rooted and unlocked my Note 2 last week and flashed beans b8. Today I flashed b9 but I was wondering if I also have to flash the modem to VRALL4 as beans links that on his thread. My phone's build number is already VRALL4 since I had accepted the last OTA before I rooted and unlocked. My 4G and calls/texts seems the same as it has always been by the way. Thanks.
