Default Cannot get GPS to work on N4

Hey:

I'm using my nexus 4 with an ATT APN. Currently I'm unable to get a lock on my location unless I'm connected to a Wi-Fi network or driving in my car. Standing still even in broad daylight doesn't get me a lock on my position. This also happened to me
With my SGS2 so I don't think it's hardware related. Could it be my APN settings?

Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app

Unlikely to be related to the APN because GPS works even without a data connection. Try downloading GPS Status from the market and open it. It should automatically download the A-GPS data which should allow for a faster lock. It will also give more information about the satellites it finds and the connection strength.

Wow really?

I think the GPS on the N4 is by far the best of any Android device I've experienced. By a long way in fact.

The only other device with comparable GPS was the 5800 which was super accurate when locked.

Well again it's just weird this has happened to me with both a Nexus 4 and the SGS2. With the SGS2 I thought it was due to the ROMs I used. This time around Im using stock 4.2.2. Yet I have the exact same behavior with both phones. I don't get a GPS fix unless Im driving or on Wifi. That makes me think its something beyond hardware since it affects both phones in exactly the same way. I'm using the AT&T APN suggested in xda. If I leave the GPS Status app it sees 20-21 satellites but doesn't fix on anyone of them. I can't even get an estimate of my location.

For example, my girlfriend with an iPhone and AT&T can quickly get an estimated location inside a movie theater. Yet I can't get one with my AT&T Nexus 4. Any ideas?
