I'm not sure it's kinda confusing, but some ppl I know said they did it worked for them so thought I'd share
Any one trying these make sure you choose the Verizon one not Sprint.

I thought the GS3 updated PRLs by itself, thats why you cant do *228 to activate.

If you look it's**228 to revert back.but yes Verizon did tell me that doesn't work instead pull the battery to update it...weird.but this method is different I suggest if your're new to this give it time for a easier one just to be safe.

Nothing new about this. People have been modding and swapping prls for over a decade. I used a Verizon PRL on my Sprint phone so I could roam and use a lot of data so Sprint would terminate my contract without an ETF. You use to be able load PRLs just by dialing ##PRL#. It's harmless, give it try, you aren't going to see a huge difference but if it works for you great.
