Hi to everyone!
I've ported the sms app of cyanogenMod 10 to the stock jelly bean (4.1.2) from samsung. Why? Because of function like 'fast reply' or 'read' on notification area, and now all this things are working.
(you need root)

1) You have to download Mms.apk (or you can use your, if you have cm10 installed, go to system\app and simple copy it)
http://d-h.st/PWP

2) With root explorer (or any other file manager, i've use es), copy mms.apk into 'system\app' in your Stock Jelly Bean.
a) You have to remove the stock messages app. You can use titanum backup (do a backup first!!) to remove it.

3) Set permission to rw- r- r- (like this http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/8539/screenshot2013030213355.png )

4) Tap and install.

[ 4b) if it doesn't install, reboot the phone :) ]
Done!

For any question, write below!

I guess the only problem with the cyanogenMod sms app is that inability to save sms's to the SIM which is a really useful feature. Also, does this mms port have the mms theme settings?

Hi, this is working well. I've tried to do the same with Contacts and Phone, but it doesn't work as simply. Would copying over the provider.apk's for both help?
