Because IRC-chat is not a feature people want on a site like this, at this point in time, I guess. I introduced it because I thought it could add to the interaction. And because it was a trick I knew how to do.

I'm guessing it will find a use as soon as, for whatever reason, there's 10 or more people on at any one time, and the forum just gets annoying because some people start posting one-liner messages every minute or two.

There is a kind of instant messenger plug-in for this phpBB thing, we might want to give that a try at some point...

But I guess it wouldn't hurt of more people hung out at #xda-developers: I'll open a window... Having said that: being a developer box, my machine boots more often than your average PC...

Gotta finish some other stuff first though. Expect new a XDA-developer toy and a (minor) update of The Manipulator this afternoon.

Default Organisation is the key...

What about finding a common time of the day when people are on-line.

The you can have some form of chatting session.

I know that I come and check the site most evenings when I get home from work around 7pm GMT.

POLL in order do you not think....
After all we're mostly European (not all I know!) so a common time should be quite easy...

Another problem is I couldn't figure out what servers I can connect to for IRCnet... Any suggestion?
