Default GPRS Lag

Does anybody know how to improve the lag. Im getting about 700ms to 1200ms lag tracing to my apn, This to me is very slow. What is normal lag for gprs. I used the tracert app with xvUtil to get this info. I would be interested in knowing what every body else get when they tracert to thier apn's.

Lucky you, 1700 ms is no exception in some networks. We use O2-NL a lot, and we regularly see over 2 seconds on the first packet after a period of not sending data, and then the latency drops down to 1500 or so, sometimes a little less.

GPRS in its current implementation is not usable for real-time apllications. Leave it to telcos to not understand data transfer needs.
