Default deleted pictures from digital camera

A friend of mine has a digital camera. They are not sure what happened but, after a lovely bank holiday weekend taking lots of pictures. Their camera is empty when they got home. They don't know whether the 2 year old did it by mistake, or what the hell has happened. Any ideas?

The most important thing though. Can the pictures be gotten back from the memory card? They haven't used the camera since in vein hope of retrieaval of the pictures...

Many thanks in advance, Martin

Default lost pix

I had the same problem, it was caused (in my case) by stupidity! It cost me $29 to sort it out. PhotoRescue PC
http://www.flash-card-store.co.uk/ac..._Recovery.html

or more expensive

Restorer 2000 about $50
http://restorer2000.com/buy.shtml

Some of these let you test the software and retrieve a couple of pix first

I learnt the hard way to back up important files before restoring a Norton Ghost image!

Default Thank you

Many thanks for this. I have sent this information on in an email to my friend. I hope that she has some luck with it all. I think that it is an experience that we will all encounter at some point in time!

I'll be back with how she gets on...
