And while you're at it: could you please build something where we can report police checkpoints with a single button menu, put then in a web-reachable database that is checked by the plugin, and expire the mobile checks after 6 hrs ?

I think POI Handler allready offers this. Check under Syncing Service. I Haven't tested this though. They're site is at http://poi.dhs.org
