Default XDA II ROCKS :)

Hello, i am new to this forum as well as my XDA II is...

I just coiuld not resist, so i got it yesterday. 1st on Bristol (thats what they say)
It's locked to o2 network (for now...)
It's fast! I played a 240x180 wmv video- full frames! The menus are also very fast.
The camera in full screen is amazing! It has zoom up to 4x.
Excelent sound both for phone and mp3-video
It comes with a usb 1.0 cradle, an adaptor for charging the unit without the cradle, a leather case, hands-free, and a cd with the manuals and Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7

ROM VERSION: 1.03.00 USA
ROM DATE: 09/24/03
RADIO VERSIONl 1.05.12
PROTOCOL VERSION 1337.12

My questions:
is it possible to syncronize through bluetooth? I get it conected but i can't syncronize.
Is it possible to surf the internet by conecting through bluetooth with my computer?
What is the bigest amount of memory the sd slot can take?
Is there a place where i can setup the gprs for o2 (i think i messed it up! This is my first pda as well)
Can i write txt messages in other than english? I am Greek and texting in Greek is quite important for me. It recognizes greek because i test it with a greek txt i sent it to..

Congrats this site has great work in it...

if you mean for video then it's cool if you mean that it have 4 times digital zoom then it's useless as soon as you get the image to a pic program you have infinity digital zoom :P

maybe it's just slow i mean, usb is 12Mb and bluetooth is around 900Kb

Bluetoothnews.com has an excellent tutorial on synchronizing your Pocket PC using Bluetooth.

Default Read the Addendum!

Did you read the bit in the addendum that says how to use activesync over bluetooth?

Start >Settings> System> Bluetooth Settings?

Thank you for your answers!
Unfortunately my pc bluetooth is from the Microsoft Bluetooth desktop, which does not have any programs for setting up the com. But i haven't give up on that one yet.

Rudegar: "think you need a greek rom for it for both writing reconizing and spellcheck"

But the Pocketpc 2003 should have greek support right? How do i change language for pocketpc? Like lets say i want to create a word document in greek...

not sure with greek but with arabic and asian signs you need to get a special ROM as in not the rom you got in the system now

== flash a new version of the os supporting greek to the xda

though i could be wrong

Default XDA rocks...

I have just got the new XDA II.

Works Just fine with SD512mb card.. (Glad the slot is in the top now - less chance for it to fall out)

Runs PocketTV smoother (better frame rate) and the new screen is much brighter and clearer.

The new case does not have the old metalic clips (that used to cause paint flakes) instead it has a flap over with a clip. It also folds out from the bottom not the top and instead of sliding it in to the side with velcro it slots in the top. Note is has a hole in the back to alow taking photos while in the case and little slots for extra memory cards and credit card - but dont put credit card in it cos they will get wiped!

Nice new sw installed thats not on the standard Windows 2003

Photo Contacts - (cannt see ring tone options)
Clearvue Pdf (PDF Viewer)
Clearvue PPT (Powerpoint viewer)
Camera + Video
MMS Composer
Wireless modem (Like recent XDA Rom update)
Album
O2 Active User interface (may need to find how to disable this one !)
Ultra profiler (Quick change , Silent, meeting, bluetooth etc)
Xmail
