Default Cannot browse or send email after SER 1.2 upgrade

Hello all,

After I upgraded to SER 1.2 I can no longer browse in any browser on my AT&T SX-56. I have radio stack 10.20 and the GPRS settings are correct.

Does anyone have any ideas? If not I am going to have to roll back.

Sigh...........

You're the second person this month thats reported this problem with AT&T and SER 1.2.

Just to let you know I did every know to fix it but nothing worked! So at this point it appears that your only option is to roll back. I hate giving bad news to good people....!

Default Update!

Hello all,

I found a work around. Remove "proxy" from the APN and voila! Browsing works just fine!

You're joking, right, AT&T Tech Support swears you need it!
If not what led you to do that?

Well when nothing else worked the way you are SUPPOSED to set it up. I just started doing things that WERN'T supposed to work!

As soon as I removed PROXY from the APN line, all started working fine. Of course this is only on SER 1.2. On the original image I had, 20.17, I had to have proxy in the APN line.

Why does it work? Not a clue.........

Well since this is my first ROM flash, I'm pretty happy. Now I'm going to do a restore back to 20.17. I am assuming I just use OSImage Tool and restore my .nb1 file from disk/card to the device?

Tell me if I am wrong before I blow this poor little xda up! :D

BTW the restore back to 20.17 using OSImage Tool will work just fine.

See you around,
