Default Anybody using Travroute CoPilot with XDA I or II

hi,

I was wondering if anybody has used Travroute's CoPilot Pocket PC 4 with the Xda I or II

i was having problems with getting the wave files to work,

i tried it on my original SX56 and the wav file didnt work (tts did though)

and so i thought when i get my xda II everything will be fixed, but it did the same thing on the Xda II ive tried uninstalling, reinstalling, changing directories, cant seem to get it working

ive email travroute several times and it seems they dont want to help, or couldnt be bothered (i hope they are reading this)

anyway does anyone have any ideas? is anybody using it with the xda?

could you maybe send me you wave files from the cd?

email joseph@bkgadallah.com.au

thanks in advance

I have use Pocket CoPilot on both my XDA and my XDA II. It is super cool on the XDA II with Bluetooth GPS. The XDA used a homemade data cable to power the device and hook up with the GPS.

I just did a normal install. In fact, I loaded the cab files into my extended ROM to load automatically in case of a hard reset. I use the prerecorded voice prompts because I think the text to speach sounds to much like the computer in War Games. (Just ahead, a nice game of chess.)

I will e-mail you the cab files I am using. You will have to use your own product key and activate it through ALK.

I totally agree with you about the computer voice

I can't even understand it, that why I tried using the wav files

but for some reason it doesnt work

if you could email the cab's that would be great,

now i know if it worked for you and you used the same cab files on an xda and xda II, then it has to be something else

Default email me

I tried to post with an attachment, but it must be too large. I wanted the 4MB UK Roger voice that had come with my FONIX voice dial software to work on CoPilot (since ALK uses FONIX technology it seemed reasonable). They actually sent me a newer version in a cab file that installs easily. Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but you can't just replace the voice with .wav files. It has to be in the proper format for the underlying FONIX engine to utilize it. email be at dtidmore@msn.com and I will forward you what CoPilot sent me
