Default Regular Dialer and Contacts?? How to call them!

Hello,

I am using the Qtek 2020 and I was wondering. Is there someone who is able to write an application that is used in the regular dialer to dial the contacts? Especially when I am in the car, call contacts is pretty hard! Using your thumb and no stylus.

Is there someone able to write this? Or is there already such a type of software?

Hope to hear about it!

Default One hand dialing

Two existing products do what you ask.

1. D9 (by Pocket Gamer) - works quite well and creates its own database from your contacts list which can be dialed with one hand. Searches only in the first or last name, but not both.

2. The better option is Finger Clix by Imaginet software which searches in first and last name and uses the contacts list directly (so you dont have to periodically refresh like in D9).

Thank you very much! But I would like to use the regular dialer! Not a second one.

I knew fingerclix, but also another problem is that it doesn't show numbers on it's buttons. But I am looking for a program or programmer!! Which or who is able to use the regular dialer with an extra button for your contacts.

For the car, take a look at Fonix VoiceDial v1.2, it is a voice based dialer that works amazingly well. You don't need to train it.

http://www.fonix.com

Well worth the $15

Thank again mate! Nice program indeed!

But still looking for a program or programmer which or who could be able to use your contacts in the normal dialer!! Isn't there any option available? Why not? This couldn't be that hard!

If there is any programmer willing to do this, please contact me! Or did someone already do this?

another option closer to what you ask is PhoneExt Plus - this one has a seperate dialer screen (but which looks like the real dialer) where you can dial numbers or get the letters on the numbers to lookup contacts. But this does not work on XDA II -- there is some mention of this being promised in the future.

What you describe would be ideal, of course but have not seen it around.
