Default Bluetooth passkey not supported

Hi all,

I'm working on a very special project 8) . I'm trying to send my XDA II screen to a bluetooth headup display.

This bluetooth device does not support BT security features like authentication or encryption. There is no default PIN code.

It works fine with my old Ipaq which can make a connection with the device without soliciting a PIN but my XDA II still ask me for a PIN code ... :?

Is it possible with Windows Mobile 2003 to use a bluetooth device without using a PIN code ?

Thanks in advance !

Johann

I think it needs the pin to bond, at the moment the xda2 is brain damaged in the bluetooth department, hopefully an upgrade will appear soon that will address the issues. Have you tried 4 zeros when prompted for pin?

I believe it may be, the fact that it works with the ipaq which uses the Widdcom bt stack and the xda2 uses the Microsoft stack which supports very little would indicate it is.
