mmc card format

hi i was modding my xda1 to the xda developers rom using xdatools and osimage software problem is it came up with bad checksum, so i tried putting the mmc card in my pc reader to re do it but it doesnt recognise the format of the card or the card is damaged or something because even the osimage tools software wont write to the card in my pc reader it just says card not ready

any ideas guys


or is there software to make the pc recognise the card to format it again

its okay i sorted it using another sd card....
