am wondering if youcan run an external video signal into the XDAII ? For example could you run composite video cables from a vcr to the XDA to view video on the device ?

doubt there is that big a market for it

If you just want pictures without sound you could use the LifeView FlyGrabber CF card with the CF backpack. The FlyGrabber comes with connectors for S-Video and standard composite video, but there is no audio support. Bit pricey though.

just point the camera at the tv = live video on the XDAII

but seriously, i was thinking of using my wifi card to stream sky tv to the device.

i have sky on a usb capture card on the pc, and it can stream to messenger or ivisit like a web cam....or stream to a web page

sadly pocket msn doesn't support web cam, but maybe i could get some other software to pick up the stream

not sure what i could do with it maybe just watch sky in the bath

video conferencing is not really a go with the camera being on the wrong side of the XDAII

suppose thats one of the reasons the new 3g phones have a cam in front and on the back

video conf is still pretty closely related to 3g because it take up more band then grps can handle
and ms have no plans for 3g support untill 2006 or something

Default Streaming Video (and sound)

Hi,

You could put up a local streaming media server and then watch
it in the Pocket Media Player. Please note you may not get very
good throughput for the WLAN on the SDIO.. I have never seen
anything above 300kb/s...

For sound you can set up Winamp with a Shoutcast-server, then
tune in with some WLAN SDIO card with the fantastic and free
