Default Amazing software for XDA I+II

PhonePlus! 1.00
This software enables you to call a contact using T9 technology, which makes it a lot easier to call even when driving.
amazing software which makes you wonder, why didnt microsoft thought about it before....

was similarly excited when I first saw it and JUST about to buy it when I realised that the software cannot be mapped to the hardware 'dial' button on the XDAII. Unfortunately, the developer says it's a limitation of the o/s but I'm afraid I'll have to give this wonderful software a miss. Great as it is, I think it's imperative that the software can be mapped to the dial button which is what I use to bring up the useless default phone application.

but mobidial is the same as the default dialer, it does exactly the same just looking pretier then the default.
why pay so much for something you have in default?
the phoneplus software uses a T9, like a regular cell phone.
i have been strugelling on dialing when im in the car for long time, but phoneplus is the software i know that overcome those problems of microsoft.
what mobidial better then the default dialer??

actulally MobiDial, cuz of it's different views, is very useful (of course never justified for actually paying for the thing)

the problem I saw with it is it is slow to load.

no, REALLY slow to load, this is the first time though, after that it runs in the background then it loads faster then. But i had to uninstall it cuz it wasnt consistent in its speed.

Same problem I had, very slow and takes up about 3mb of memory.
Also, does anyone know is their a phone dialer software that once you enter a number directly allows you to store it directly instead of having to go to contacts, add new contact....

well, thats right, i forgot this important thing, this mobidial is realy slow, and truely takes a lot of memory, i assume they wrote the program in VB (who does that???).
and as i said, it has nothing new and exciting, if to pay for something, i want it to be perfect or at least something different from the default, and the "phoneplus" gives me what i need - fast dialing.
they really put their mind there on fast dialing by T9, by dialing by pictures, and by those big buttons.
what did you mean about different views? the looks of it?

I totaly agree with you, i find phoneplus very usefull and fast.
actually i was looking for that kind of thing for long time, of course there are some improvements i had put in the software so it will be perfect, but for now this is the best software there is for dialing and im waiting for the free update the developers said they will publish for those who purchased.

Default Updates for Phoneplus

Hi guys,

Thanks for kind words . Phoneplus was written to cover a subject Microsft have greatly overlooked when they designed the default dialer.
While MobiDial is a great software indeed, it does not implement a solution for a quick immediate dailing of contacts from memroy single handed while driving your car.
What we tried to achieve in Phoneplus is not an absulote replacement (for the meantime) for MS default dailer but rather a tool to aid you dailing - T9-like search of contacts and Photodial.
However the next vesrsion will most likely take another step in that direction - DTMF dailing and perhaps CallerID and the sorts.

So hang in there and wait for our next realse.

Micha
