want to hack the O2 user interface

Hello to all O2 users

I do have the O2 rom with the o2active gui which I really like (even it is a customization ;) ).

Now I am starting to get a little limited with the features and I would like to "modify" it a little bit... in the end I would like to replace/change the programmes called by the gui. For example to call phoneplus instead of the standard dialer, call EzWap instead of Internet Explorer when I click WAP, have PocketZenPhone on the right side...

Has anybody the same problem and tried something...
I had a look with a hex-editor in the .exe file of the gui and I think it could be feasibale...

Any Ideas and help are highly welcome
