zopo c2 review.and How to Update ZOPO C2 to Android 4.2 OS

Zopo C2 runs Aliyun OS, which is a Linux-based system "inspired" by Android.
How to Update ZOPO C2 to Android 4.2 OS ? look at the video...

Zopo C2 smartphone gets official, brings Aliyun OS for a low, low price ,
As expected, Zopo will sell 5000 devices to the market in April, and the buyer can order.
now you can pre-order in zopomobileshop.com

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to Update

--Download follows file to your PC
1.Firmware:Download ZOPO C2 ROM(android 4.2-130422)
2.SP Flash Tool (Latest version:4.2)
PS:If you do not know how yo use the SP Flash Tool, please here to learn:[TUT]MTK Android (Sp flash tool ) tutorial
Make sure that you have MediaTek DA USB VCOM drivers installed.

--First of all, extract the firmware entire contents of the zip file ,after open SP Flash Tool,
then click Scatter-loading button to load the correct scatter file
(MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt or "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt", depending on which phone you have)
for your device and ignore any message that may appear.

--Turn off your phone, remove the battery and replace it after some seconds (and don't turn on the phone).
Press F9 (or hit Download button) and connect your phone into the computer via USB data cable.
The process will start and a red progress bar will appear.

Attention: Please follow the instructions carefully. I will not take any responsibility on whatever may happen with your phone.
Very important warning: Always make sure that you trust the sources of the ROM you download and know that it is meant for your phone.
After flashing a wrong preloader, your phone will be completely dead (can't be powered on, it will not charge and won't be detected anymore
by the computer) and there is no way to recover it.

I've ordered one, but It will be shipped on the 2nd of may. As far as I've read the zp980 rom is fully compatible with the C2. This will most probaly mean that any custom rom for the 980 will work on the C2.

The rooting method is the same for all the MTK quadcore phones out there (hence a few exeptions), so that won't be a problem.

I bought one in Hk thru Taobao.com and I flashed it to Android 4.2.1 and is pre rooted.

Very fast and smooth after changed to Android 4.2.1. Ali OS is very laggy and slow.

The screen is fantastic, the color and viewing angle are actually better than my LG optimus G pro.

Too bad the phone doesnt support 4g and battery only 2000mah. The phone feels quite plastic too.

Overall the phone is quite decent as long as u install Android on it.
