Default Please use English on xda-developers.com

I know I have let this slip, mostly because of a lack of spare time over the past weeks. But there has been a flurry of messages posted in Italian over the past weeks, and I've decided to ask the italian community on xda-developers to start speaking English instead of Italian. A slightly different version of this same message has been replied to active topics in Italian.

I know that discussions of Italian ROMs seem to hold little of interest except to Italian speakers, but that's not always true. On browsing the discussions I see many things that could be of use to others that now cannot read what's being said. And it's anoying to those that want to keep up on all new messages posted to keep having to find out the thread is in a language they don't speak.

I could ofcourse create an Italian forum. And as it so happens, I read enough Italian to make sense of most of it (as I speak Spanish). But then when the Koreans and Polish want a sub-board next week, I end up with all these discussions on our system that I cannot read. Given the legal risks that surround an open-forum operation such as this, this would be unacceptable.

So, I'm marking the subject of existing threads that contain Italian, and I'm afraid I have to politely ask the Italians to return to English (which I have seen most Italian posters actually master quite well).
