Pixel error

Hi all,

does anyone now if a pixel error is a reason for an exchange under warranty?

I have one pixel that is permanent green. The Qtek is one week old.

This is very ****ty quality.

Does anyone know if I would get it exchanged?

Unfortunatly you will not be up for a replacment you can have a look at this link:

They are allowed up to 2 green dots with out replacment... It is not XDA's fault it is just a trait of LCD pannels. I have 1 red pixel that is rather anoying as well but thats one of the things you have to put up with LCD screens.

No matter what LCD screen is used there is always a chance of having dead pixels (Even computer screens) I have got 2 LCD screens at work that have a dead pixel each.... Nothing you can do really... just put up with it, its a chance you take for going with the LCD technology...

with production of lcd it happens alot that some pixels are born dead
this is by no means a quality issue on htc's part

only extremely few lcd makers check and throw away panels with some dead pixels on if they did the prices of the panels would skyrise

read here about normal computer lcd panels and their warrenty rules
mind you they have tons of more pixels then the xda's panel and therefor have a much higher dead pixel ration

Yup... Even my laptop has a bright orange dead pixel on it.

I'm used to it now.

my super expensive samsung 19" panel have a white pixel in the upper middle
my xda2 have 1 white pixel and one stuck on green and one on orange
it cant really be avoided all together it comes with the technology
