Default CF to SD adaptor?

Hi,

Is there a adaptor that converts a CF card, so that it can fit into a SD slot?

If not, why?
I'm so BRIGHT, my father calls me SUN.

a thread about it

a possible reason why not is that i believe CF are faster

another reason is if there is no demand nobody will develop anything

another reason is that SD are small and CF are big so an adaptor would break easy
hhhmm ok i may be a jerk but i'm a jedi jerk like my father was before me

SD cards have a 4-bit data path while CF are 8, 16, or 32.

SD sucks ass. I can't believe we're having this foisted on us for the sake of a few millimeters.

but you could make a converter which would take in the bigger bit sized and split them but that too would cost speed and if timing was a big thing for the cf card in question it may even time out thinking that the sd card converters slowing down was due to an error

You "could" make a converter to turn dog turds into petrol, but what would be the cost? Who would buy it? How many people want it.

My point is that it's not as easy as say a CF to PCMCIA adapter, or even PCMCIA to SD. Plus very few people would be interested in having an SD to CF adapter.
