Default Widcomm 1.5.0 build 0801

I've extracted this Widcomm stack from Dell Axim X30 ROM and it seems to work for me. I have not tested BT headset yet.
I don't provide instructions (no time), but I've uploaded my archive to http://mamaich.kasone.com/imate/bt-ppc.1.5.0.0801.rar
Archive contains 2 REG files (one from AXIM and the second is from working widcom BT) and a working BTTrayCE.exe.

Screenshots:

As you see the only "old" file is BTTrayCE.exe. The latest versions don't work on our device.

This version in its default configuration has the same heavy CPU load as the other Widcomm builds even when BT is off. To speedup things - lower BT port baud rate: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Seria lTransport] set value "BaudRate" to 115200. This helped me a lot. You may test higher values.

Default Widcomm 1.5.0 build 0801 - How to install

I've managed to sucessfully installed WIDCOMM 1.5.0 build 0801 using the latest BTTrayCE.EXE. Headset bonded and connected OK but does not work yet (I'm still working on it). Here are the instructions:

1. Backup your device, in case something goes wrong.
2. Uninstall all BT tools (i.e. BluetoothGPS, BTTools, any previous version of WIDCOMM BT)
3. Rename your BTCEIF.DLL file in \Windows folder to something else, such as BTCEIF.DLL.BAK, then reset your device.
4. Copy all the files from mamaich's archive to \Windows (DONOT replace BTTrayCE.EXE file with the one in 'working_BTTrayCE.EXE' folder otherwise your headset won't connect. There are 3 files not needed, which are registry.reg, fixes_after_registry.reg, _____mxip_misc_100.rgu so you don't need to copy these to \Windows folder). Make sure all the files are copied OK.
5. Import the registry that I've attached here.
6. Copy BTTrayCE.lnk file attached here to \Windows\Startup folder.
7. Reset you device. You should have 1.5.0.0801 working!

Now, I'm still investigating why XDAII did not redirect all sound to the headset even though now it's connected OK. Can someone please send me a whole HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry key of a HP6315 or DELL Axim, together with 2 files AudioGW.DLL & BTPWR.DLL from those devices?

Cheers,

Absolutely brilliant dtktvu!!!.

I can now do something I couldn't do before.... Network access through my BT access point (using PAN) AND also ActiveSync to my laptop or PC

Had to make a slight change to your reg file, though...

Under key
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Widcomm\BtConfig\Applications\0001]
I needed to change
Code:
"ComPortNumber"=dword:00000000
to
Code:
"ComPortNumber"=dword:00000004
to specify COM4 as the outgoing serial port.

This is great, and I haven't even started to see what else works yet!!

Thank you

headset would not be working with widcomm stack. For this to work we need a wavedev.dll and audiogw.dll that are compatible with our device and "know" about the widcomm stack. We can take audiogw.dll from XDA3, but we cannot get a working wavedev.dll from there.
