Is it possible to put the Qtek 9090 rom on a Qtek 2020 ?
Hi,
I just would like to know if it's possible (or if it's a stupid question) to put a rom of a Qtek 9090 on a Qtek 2020.
Why this question ? Because the Qtek 9090 have the same processor and (I suppose ) mainly the same hardware than the Qtek 2020.
Benefits of the manipulation : WM2003 SE, BT Widcomm stack, ...............
Did someone have this rom ?
If no, I have one

As far as I've seen QTEK9090 has a PXA27x CPU and 2020 is PXA263. Theoretcally it is possible to patch 9090 ROM so that it would not hang on our devices.

Hi Van,
I will try it for you and will add comment to XDA-Forum,
For O2 XDA-II -> everything is possible .... like mission imposible ... and make it avaible.
Mentioned ideas the same with mine, ... we will use O2 XDA-II or XDA-II(i) or XDA-II(s) or XDA-III ??? where the core hardware inside is not much impressive.

from the registry I noticed a difference in the bluetooth device:
qtek2020:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\ASIC5_BTUR]
"DeviceArrayIndex"=dword:00000000
"DeviceType"=dword:00000000
"Dll"="ASIC5_BTUR.Dll"
"FriendlyName"="BT on COM6:"
"Index"=dword:00000006
"IoBase"=dword:afe00700
"IoLen"=dword:00000024
"Irq"=dword:00000022
"Order"=dword:00000002
"Prefix"="COM"
"Tsp"="Unimodem.dll"
qtek9090:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\BlueTooth]
"DevConfig"=hex:20,00,00,00,05,00,00,00,10,01,00,00,00,4b,00,00,00,00,08,00,\
00,00,00,00,00
"DeviceArrayIndex"=dword:00000000
"DeviceType"=dword:00000000
"Dll"="Serial_BTUR.dll"
"FriendlyName"="BT UART"
"Index"=dword:00000004
"IoBase"=dword:aa050000
"IoLen"=dword:00000024
"Irq"=dword:00000011
"Order"=dword:00000002
"Prefix"="COM"
"Tsp"="Unimodem.dll"
different iobase, different drivers.
I don't have a qtek9090, so can only look at the binary for differences.

It's normal because the 2020 has a MS drivers/stack whereas the qtek 2020 has a WidComm drivers/stack but the drivers file has the same name.
In the Qtek 9090 :
"Bluetooth for Windows CE BT-PPC/PE Version 1.0.0.1900"
