Default Backup and Restore

I am using i-mate and i am taking a backup every time that the phone is on the cradle.

It comes very handy as I get a halt/hung/freeze once every 10-15 days and I need to restore.

I have the following questions:

1. Image links. I.e. the Photo album with the contact links to the images. How can ensure they are backup?

2. Can I restore the full backup using my SD card? It seems that sometimes I do not have my laptop with me and the cradle so I can restore. What do you usually do? (last night I picked up a girls phone and I lost it because of this! - fortunately she called!)

Any help would be appreciated

You've to backup the database IA_Photo_Contacts_Group to ensure you backup the links and also have to backup the folder where the photo's reside.

It depends on the program you're using for the backup. If you're using active sync then that's not possible. But if you're using a program which resides on your XDA then it should be possible. With Sprite Backup is sure is possible. It is also possible with xBackup which is installed from the most of the Extended ROMs of different providers.

Thanks! everything is backup by the active sync bakup. the issue is that on restore it says that a number of files conflict and is recommending to skip all otherwise it does not proceed.

any ideas?
