i just did this and now it says that i can't download apps from the play store.

Edit: i fixed it. I just deleted my google account rebooted and it was fixed lol

There is no certainty that it will some user also reported that after downloading ota , update was restricted by the device itself nd was unable to update...
Its totally depend on you...
U can try it urself and give us feedback so that it may help some othar user....
One suggestion if u r doing it then do it in full stock mode ie nothing removed/freezed and nothing installed beside superuser..(not even busybox uninstall it)....

Hello, I had a rooted (lgp?n method) p769 T-Mobile with the original 20f software. the new ota came out 20h and asked to download and install. of coarse I said no and did a backup first. then I installed it. But prior to that, I heard people with this phone loosing the system updates option(setting-about phone-system updates) that option wasn't there after they rooted but it was there for me. anyways I did the update and it rebooted as it said "updating apps" well after it booted, I first checked root and it wasn't there. so instead of running lgp?n again, I just downloaded supersu from Google play and installed it. did a root check again and I had root.. so I didn't have to run lgp?n. just ran supersu. worked fine :good:

yup your right, because it is just updates. It wants to update files that were deleted. I would install factory rom then update ota then start your cleaning of the bloatware.

+ Update from carriers (OTA updates) will not work after removing even one of the bloatwares. Disabling the apps will not affect OTA updates however.
+ Don't just remove thing because of the sake of removing it. Know your stuff!


The purpose of this is to show you how much junk you can remove from stock rooted. Most of this stuff can be reinstalled from the Play Store if you want it back.
I would suggest removing ANYTHING that can be donwloaded again later. This gives you full reign over the app...Not just it's data and updates.

LG MLT - com.lge.mlt (Feature in secret menu 3845#*!!!#) (!!! = Your model number)
NOTE: I personally remove this. Most will opt to simply disable it.
Additional Notes: "MLT", per default is enabled, and probably serves purpose to help LG with
remote support, but it tries to track all your activity and logs GPS position together with the
details gathered, and that includes calls, apps starting, removing etc...
This information is stored on the /mpt partition, in the MPT_MainData.db file. This file only
logs what is in 4.1.2 for some reason.
Final Notes: Some users have reported faster response, and in some cases more free RAM. Your
results may vary. Remove/Disable at your own risk.

I knew there were certain apps that shouldn't be uninstalled, (my phone p769 t-moble original rom 20f then rooted. the update came out 20h but I went back to factory rom because to update with deleted files may cause a big problem. then I updated and rebooted and now deleting apps). Anyways, so if you don't know, well don't do it.. thanks about the lge.mlt description. First, I checked my available rom and got that number and wrote it down.. then I froze the lge.mlt file and it freed up a small amount of rom. then I uninstalled it (backing up of coarse) and rebooted. check again and I gained some more. it wasn't that much, but I did gain. most importantly, ive been running my phone without the lge.mlt and its been running good. no problems yet..

Can i delete google plus and all google stuff but leave google maps and the playstore ?
can i delete gmail also ?
