which 256mb SD card is best to use when flashing I-Mate Jam?

I have tried with a 256mb Lexar SD Card and when i put the phone into bootloader mode with the card inside it never asks me to press power to flash. The only time it gives me that message is when i eject the card, but if I put the card back in and try to hit power it gives me an error. I would just like to know which brand of card people are having most success with.
