XDAIIs' madness

Hi, everyone

I had installed quite a few softwares on the device and after doing a soft-reset it locked up at the O2 XDA screen. Apparently I installed them all over again as I had to do a hard reset and it happened again. I took out the memory card, soft reset but it didn't help either. Does installing too many programs cause the device to freeze or I have the bad unit? Should I return it to 02?

it might be possible that the apps you've installed are not designed for the wm2003se xda2s. but then again i've installed the rom upgrade on my xda2 and still the favorite apps i had dating back to 2001 worked. of course switching to landsape mode make the display look funky for some apps; but generally it's okay. no hick ups and such. mate of mine had the same issues with his xda2s when he installed some apps; froze up and he had to do a hard reset. in the end he didn't install the apps which caused the freeze ups. too bad since some of those were apps he paid for.
