Default Urgent question for the administrator or the moderator

I think this question is for Peter Poelman or anyone who knows how to get in contact with him or anyone who can modify the ftp site a bit.
Since pm is not giving any responce i post question here and i also edit the startpage from wiki to (perhaps) get some attention.

It is about time to start protecting the ftp part against deleting files.
Many people have spend a lot of time to build to what it is now.
However in the short time that i am here i have seen files and directory's disappear 2 times now. This could be an accident by moving files but it could also be someone who is having a lot of fun now. So some people including me find it time to change the ftp a bit. We think it is time to get some members with the user rights that people now have when they log in with the name xda and are willing to take care of the ftp. Then the rest of us can upload files to the upload directory only. This way we can be a bit more relaxed and don't need to be afraid that the ftp is empty again tomorrow.

Extra question¿ How come forum is sooooo terrible slow and ftp is soooo extremely faaaaast. I would expect them to be same speed.

Default I got some answers.

The webserver is going to be taken care of.
So it should be getting faster in the near future.
The ftp is going to change too and he told me there where some backups so he was going to take a look to see what he had as back up.

I looked at ftp and many things seems to have come back now.
Perhaps too many now.
