I suppose you run 520Mhz and downclock the memory speed.
Try run it on 470Mhz with original memory clk.

I used XCPUScalar 2004 v2.87 to overclock my MDA.

I am not sure what kind of processor MDA compact has,PXA 263?
If yes,you can use the Mamaich's Overclock utility or use Hack Master.

Use hackmaster and pay attention to memory multiplier.

Results seem to indicate hardly any noticible difference so it isn't worth it surely?

I was using XCPUScaler and felt the same way (like I didnt realy notice any difference). Then I switched to Pocket Hack master and I think it made a difference in performance even just running it at 415. I would love to see the results of this test using PHM.
