Default new annoying problem on jasjar

Hi all,
I have had this problem earlier but a hard reset solved it... Now I might have to do a hard reset again to solve it, and so lose all my data
. Everytime I put the jasjar on external power (adapter or usb) the backlight switches off.
. When I soft reset, the backlight switches back on, but after the logo screen it switches off.
. The only way to get backlight to stay switched on is to keep it away from mains (ie running off batteries only)
. As soon as I put it back to power supply, the backlight goes off, I can stll see the screen, but its very dark...
Anyone got this? This is an annoying and serious bug if it is, or maybe my actual device has a defect?
A response or turnaround trick will be most appreciated...
Thanks in advance
Greetings
Nabil H

Default fiddling fixing

I managed to fix it for now by fiddling with the power controls and pressing several times the switch off and backlight on buttons... I wish this gadget was more reliable for the price tag... I wonder how the asus fares in that chapter...

Hmmm. Mine doesn't do this and I haven't heard anyone else complain of this. I hate to say it, but you may have a defective unit or maybe even a bad AC power adapter.

Default backlight problem

Thanks.
It happened only twice, but since it is still under warranty I better get it looked at by i-mate, I am going to contact them and ask them to have a look at it...
