help phone stuck in bootloader mode

Hi just got my JasJar from Austraila where i live.
I just tried to update to the new ROM and it died half was through.
No I can get to the bootloader mode but not to WM5.

Tried to run the upgrade again and it now states
CONNECTION ERROR.
turned off USB active sync and have bootloader V1.00

Please help I have only had the device for 8 hours

rang i mate support who were helpfull.

told me to take the battery out of the device and turn off USB Syncing in the connection settings in Active sync which i had already done.

Tried it again and it worked.

Dont know what the difference between removing the battery is to hard reseting but I dont care now it is back working

I would have been crying if that happened to me on my first day with such a great new toy. :cry:
