Default problem with SDIO Safecom Wi-fi and WM 5 1.60b

Hello I have big problem with my SDIO Wi-fi card!
I bought Safecom card SDIO for Wlan and I have installed WM 5 1.60b 96 on my Qtek 2020 and card just does not work! The blue signal light just does not blink - as it should! So I baddly needed Wi-fi and I downgraded to WM 2003SE - where the card worked - perfectly. I could pull it out and plug it in with no errors, but here when I instaled drivers it said it were not ment for this tipe of OS - like almost all programs! I turned to manufacturer and they told me it was only for WM 2003 - not even 2003SE!?!
I saw similar post for the problem and it said that they use WM 5 1.6a - but with that version I had alredy have had quite a bit probems with phone operation - it didn't work. Help me please - I just cannot downgreade to WM 2003SE any more - I can't stand OS with non persistent memory, excell with no graphs, poorer graphics, no power point... any more!

PLEASE HELP ME! ANYONE!

I got the safe Safecomm SDIO Wireless B card as you and I am using a XDA2

I have just upgraded from WM2003SE to WM5 with 96MB RAM.... and I have been experiencing the same problem. But I fixed it by downloading and installing the following 2 items:
-Safecom_11b_drivers.rar
-Widcomm fix after install for 1.50

They can be found on:
http://buzzdev.net/component/option,...,select/id,15/

Best Regards,
Sam

The Ambicom WM2005 beta drivers work with the Safecom SDIO wifi card, as they're the same piece of kit.

I'm using it with WM2005 2.01.32WWE from tofclock. Only trouble I have at the moment is that you need to soft-reset the device with the card inserted to start the blue light and activate the card each time you want to use it.....

I haven't yet found a way of making the card work upon insertion without resetting the device.

Hello
This happened to me too.
First on 2003SE it worked very well, then after install wm5 1.60 stoped working.
I performed a downgrade to 2003se again and not worked as well, another downgrade to wm2003 1.72 official O2 rom and the same never worked anymore.

Does someone know if it is possible that some how wm5 1.60 cause an error inside the card and she died for all rom's?

Now I have WM5 2.01a64 and instaled 1.18 driver from the file: Safecom_11b_drivers.rar downloaded from buzzdev.net, the card waked up and then started to blink, the PDA detected the card and enabled the hifi option in the wireless manager, but the card did not found any network. Even after manually inputed the SSID.

I really think the card is damaged.

San disk WIFI SD card doesn't have driver for WM5. I have look for in the website company, it doesn't support for WM5 driver. If somebody can solve driver issue for WM5, I think this problem will be solved immidiately
