UMTS always on

Well, one's never happy with what he gets. On my PDA2K, I was having to activate GPRS "always on" manually, for example to be on MSN Messenger mobile. Now on my JasJar the UMTS come ON (connected, as in the 2 li'lle arrows...) w/o me asking for it, and also seems to use expensive kbs from my account, apparently with no reason.

I close it off (get the "U" icon) leave it there and it eventually gets connected w/o beeing put to it. Now this is annoying.

I've checked all the installed programs to see if any is set to connect automatically to the Internet (awakening the UMTS). Also checked off the scheduled Activesync to our corporate Exchange... Nada, still gets always on (and spends my KBs).

I could Hard Reset to Factory specs, but before I do (and have to reinstall all) I hope one of yous can illuminate this issue.
