O2 Exec --> Imate JasJar Complete

Hi
I've successfully removed my o2 branding by applying the jasjar firmware from your FTP site...thanks for that.

My question to people who've done this before is as follows:
Will I need to run the NoID program in future or will imate firmwares always install now they see imate firmware already on?

If not, is there any way to permenantly change the CountryID?

You need to use NoID every time except O2 Rom

Was looking to give this ago myself... I've download the ROM, JASJAR_WWE_11353_137_10301.zip but there's no NoID program in there.

Anybody care to help me out :? as i'd love to get rid of all the O2 rubbish!

I downloaded the noID program from the blueangel folder

ftp.xda-developers.com/BlueAngel/Tools/MaUpgradeUt_noID.zip
can't remember the ftp password...

put it in the folder of the rom upgrade, run it. it'll give the usual countryID error but the device will be in bootloader mode by now, so run noID again and this time it applies the firmware!

Anything interesting to report with the JasJar ROM as opposed to the O2 one?

Any extras or anything missing?? (aside from the O2 Active and UI stuff we want to get rid of)

Does it run faster and less buggy than the Exec ROM?

Also did you lose all files and settings, or did it retain them like some previous ROM updates for Windows Mobile 2003 did for HTC devices like the SPV C500?

i lost everything as far as i could tell.

benefits? well i just wanted rid of the o2 stuff and to understand how to do it for future (when imate releases are way ahead of o2 roms!)
+ it was kinda fun.
