Default MDA dead after upgrading to Radio 1.13

Hi guys

Tried to install the following upgrade:
MagicianRadio_1.13.00_maupgrade,
but failed miserably. MDA crashed completely. The only thing the display shows is the text "serial V1.00" or "USB V1.00" depending on the presence of a USB cable...

What can I do? The thing won't even reset, and I tried both soft and hard reset. Or is there another way to reset?

Will it help if I wait until the battery runs out?

Any help is very welcome!

Find someone ntrw'ing his ROM from SD to hard disk, send it to you and then you ntrw it back onto your SD and the reboot and "press power to flash"
Magician | ROM 3.04.00 WWE | Radio 1.12.00
Hermes .| ROM 3.62.04.DVH .| Radio 1.54.00.00
Diamond | always a new ROM .| Radio 1.17.25.09 along with Android 2.2 Froyo
iPhone .. | iOS 5.0.1 . . . . . .| baseband 05.11.07

Thanks Chatty, but sorry, I don't understand "ntrw".

And are you saying that the MDA will boot from the ScanDisk Card? Like a bootdisk for a pc?

I have some more information now:
Every now and then this text "Serial" or "USB" disappears. When this happens and I switch on the MDA, it reboots, like when I first got it. But then without completing the boot, the screen switches to black again with the text "serial" or "USB".

I'd appreciate your help.

If you'd dare to use this board's search function you'd know by now that ntrw is a program to read/write SD cards on a low level.

And you don't boot from SD card - it just contains a ROM if you were following my 'guide'. The bootloader from your PDA is able to read that format and flash itīto your chips holding the ROM. Please do some reading first... it's stupid to write the same stuff over and over again.

You're right.
I use other forums and hate it when people do this. I'm actally quite surprised I do it myself now... ops:
I suppose it feels like the most logical thing to do when something tries to help out: to ask the same person what it is s/he means. Doesn't make it right though.

Anyway, back to the point.
I got it to work in the end without any SD or whatever. I can't really put my finger to what went wrong at first, but it works now, so i'm glad.
