So far I've ported ROMs of MT6589 to MT6589T devices. And I've got it to boot without any problems. So will OmniROM work on MT6589T as well, IF it's made for MT6589 devices? @XpLoDWilD or any other developer will guide me through this? And I'll request to make for MT6589T as well. No clue. Getting it to work for even one MTK SoC is proving to be a major headache.

I think there's no hope for my MT6577 phone since Lenovo won't release complete source. Anyway, will wait for further updates regards MTK devices.

That's a different chipset. I'm not so sure, but if you don't have source files, you need to port from the same chipset and same OS for the port to work correctly.
