Default Please Help, XDAIIi keeps crashing

Hi I have an XDAIIi and I have installed the software using the corporate setup so the O2 crap hasn't installed.

My setup is as follows:
ROM version: 1.11.00
ROM Date: 01/27/05
Radio Version: 1.00.00
Protocol Version: 1337.39
ExtROM version: 1.11.162 WWE

I have the activesync setup to connect into my works Outlook Web Access server and pull off my emails. This is set to sync every 5 minutes during peak times and every 2 hours outside of peak hours via GPRS. Sometimes (at least 3 times a day) when I receive a text message or I get a missed call if the phone is in standby mode it won't turn on when I press the power on button and I have to reset the device. This is so frustrating.
Has anybody else had this problem and succesfully resolved it?

I'd really appreciate any help on this matter

Regards

Shaun

I'm using a 1Gb sandisk card. I don't see how this could lock up my XDAIIi if I receive a text or a missed call. Surely the SD card would only lock up the device if I was accessing it for data?
I'm happy to try a faster card and the sandisk is guaranteed to lock up if I'm listening to music or watching a movie, but would it also cause the device to lock up even if it's not being accessed for data?

Cheers

don't question, just obey

i know it seems weird, but i fixed crashing problems to do with gprs and ending phone calls (ie nothing to do with the SD card) by swapping my sd card for a faster one.. an easy way to test is to just take out your sd card and have nothing in there (except for the filler).. see if you still get the crashes
XDA II > i-mate PDA2 > HTC Touch > HTC Diamond > HTC Desire > SGS2 > SGS3 > SGS3 LTE > SGN2 LTE
Running CheckROM, Perseus kernel

Are you a ROM chef? Want to make sure your APKs have the correct compression settings, the internal PNGs are optimised, and the APKs are zip aligned? Check out my script:

yeah i had this problem was well, fone would randomly lock-up (not crash) but a soft reset would cure it

just a load of other things to try and sort out now

but you will be surprised it should work fine once you put a trancend in

I've always used a Peak 1GB 66x SD card and a Peak 512MB MMC card (about 2 years old now) and have no lockups since I disabled the storage card status stuff in Pocket Plus 3. To be honest I don't think the speed of the card makes much difference, I think it's down to the polling of the card by the 2i at the same time as doing other things.

Will this start a debate?
